Formetric 4DfeaturesThe addition of time as a variable gives the practitioner the ability to add an endless number of tests that can be performed. If the desire is to observe changes over time, using any of the parameters recorded by the Formetric 3D/4D, this feature is invaluable. The only requirement is that the distance from the camera remains consistent. This allows use of a treadmill, stair stepper, stationary bicycle, or other device to be used. Both the length of the test and the frequency of scans during the test are user-adjusted. Markers may be used to follow the position of the shoulder girdle or pinpoint the inferior angle of the scapula. The options are endless. 4D Posture exams are used when there are no widely changing parameters, as in a Matthias Test or Rohmberg Test where muscle fatigue and proprioceptive abilities are evaluated. 4D Dynamic exams are used when there are wide swings in some of the parameters, as in the use of a stair stepper or treadmill. Side bending, trunk rotation, and Tredelenberg Test movements are best recorded here. In both the 4D Posture and 4D Dynamic individual scans can be analyzed as well as viewing the parameters as a function of time. |
